Why Mindset Matters
As the Chinese Philosopher Lao-Tzu said…
Watch your thoughts, they become words.
Watch your words, they become actions.
Watch your actions, they become habits.
Watch your habits, they become character.
Watch your character, it becomes your destiny.
Our mindset determines not only what and how we think, but more importantly, how we behave; and therefore, the results we get.
Life is short, and although our human brain has a ridiculous potential with its 100 billion neurons and 10,000 synapses each on average, all of that magnificence is sadly hindered by our limiting beliefs. These are largely cause by the conditioning from our past experiences, which has nothing to do with the present moment and our current reality, unless we allow it to do so.
Our mindset impacts our wellbeing and performance for better or worse. It enables or stops us from achieving our goals.
Our limiting beliefs, known or unknown, prevent us from achieving our dreams. They hold us back.
Carol Dweck, PhD has conducted over 30 years of research on growth-fixed mindset and has shown that our perception of reality has an impact, not only in the education sector, but also in business and in relationships.
These are my 2 cents. Your turn…
